During summer of 2018, Lehigh County Conservation District looks forward to providing conservation programming at local libraries thanks to a generous grant provided by the
Ruth P. Seruga Trust
The upcoming themes for LCCD's “Buckets of Nature”
What critters can we find under rocks out in nature? How do mammals, birds and frogs “rock their own calls”? Through games, art projects and science we’ll have fun exploring the many ways the wilderness literally and figuratively rocks!

Books aren’t the only things that tell stories…rocks do to! Become an archaeologist and join us for a session of discovery as we explore many of nature’s fossils and go home with our very own fossil design as well!

Just in time for the shooting star showers of August, we’ll explore the mysterious rocks that travel through outer space! After reading stories, creating art projects, and experimenting, kids will go home ready to “read” the night sky in a whole new way!

Buckets Full of Nature Classes bring the out-of-doors "in" during fun-filled classes designed to peak a child's curiosity for nature, science and exploration. Bring your budding conservationist to the library for one or all of these nature-themed learning experiences that combine reading, art, experimentation and hands-on activities designed to immerse your student in learning and fun!
