DISTRICT ANNOUNCES E&S SERVICE FEES FOR 2008
The Lehigh County Conservation District directors have adopted a 35% increase in erosion & sedimentation fee schedule rates, effective January 1, 2008. This increase was necessary in light of the fact that, although project submittals have decreased in number from prior years, the increasing complexity of the regulations, including post-construction stormwater management, hazardous waste cleanup, and exceptional value wetlands consume a greater portion of staff time on a per project basis. The Conservation District emphasizes that the fees charged cover all services associated with erosion & sediment control for a submitted project, including pre-design and pre-submittal conferences, plan reviews, telephone calls, review comment conferences, preconstruction conferences, site inspections, and administrative support.
