Riparian Buffer successfully planted in the Little Lehigh Creek Watershed!
September 17, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Conservation District staff and community residents planted a riparian buffer at East Buffer Street in Emmaus in September. Staff and volunteers dug holes and planted native trees and shrubs along a tributary to the Little Lehigh Creek. Thank you for helping us improve the water quality of the Little Lehigh Creek Watershed and providing a wonderful habitat for local wildlife.
Tree tubes are a barrier method of tree protection that prevents animal browse or harsh, dry wind from damaging a tree seedling.
